「『信号が黄色になったのを見て、加速して信号を急いで通過したことがあるか？』という質問に対し『いけないことだとわかっているが、ついやってしまうことがあ』という回答が多かった」という記事で、"do as I say, not as I do" attitude という使われ方をしていた。

have a deeper look 詳しく見てみる
フランス人がラジオで英語を話していて、have a deeper lookという表現があった。文脈的にtake a closer lookと同じ意味だと思った。take a closer lookの方が自然な気がするが、have a deeper lookという言い回しを聞いて、そんな言い方は不自然と頭から排除するよりも、そんな言い方もあるのかと記憶に留めておくほうが大事。
