SAE J2087の s5,6,7.3.1に適合するランプを装備しなければならない。
ただし
s6.1.2(で「daytime running lampがposition lampで代用されるときはFig3の光度要件に従う」とある)にもかかわらず、daytime running lampがposition lampで代用され、かつその投影面積が200平方センチ以下のとき、s5.1にの評価はFig1に従ってよい
という例外を認める。
